Article Layout Themes

Qwiki comes bundled with two primary layout themes designed for long-form content and documentation.

Theme: Default (theme-default.css)

This is the standard, blank-slate theme. It relies entirely on the base qwiki.css file and is best if you want a clean, simple look without any opinionated styling.

Theme: Modern (theme-article-modern.css)

The modern theme is designed for readability and visual impact.

Features:

  • Wider Layout: The reading width is expanded for larger screens.
  • Bold Typography: Headings are significantly larger and bolder.
  • Stylized Media: Images automatically receive soft shadows and rounded corners.
  • Accented Quotes: Blockquotes are styled with thick, colored left borders.

Best for: Marketing pages, landing pages, and visually rich guides.

Theme: Classic (theme-article-classic.css)

The classic theme mimics the look of traditional academic papers or wikis.

Features:

  • Serif Fonts: Uses classic serif typography (Merriweather/Georgia) for all content.
  • Underlined Links: Ensures maximum accessibility for text links.
  • Dense Layout: Slightly smaller text and tighter line-heights for information-dense pages.

Best for: Technical specifications, legal documents, and academic writing.
